Yeah, I said the same thing. I'm so deep into my backlog, it's like finding things for the first time again.

I had a couple of things to post today but I think I'll just post this one. I watched it in the thrift store for over a month because I couldn't quite place it. I can't find the tag anywhere except for WWI and WWII pieces which had sold. A group I'm in identified it yesterday as a suit from the 1920s with a possibly modified lapel to modernize it to the 50s. I still can't tell if it has been modified but if so it was a really good job. If anyone knows anything else about this let me know. I thought 20s suits would be plentiful but apparently not.

Not exactly a thrift find.... but at $0 from FB, not a bad score! Nice big cuts of full grain leather, hand burnished, solid USA build. Just needs a little leather care cream and off to the races. Or naps.

X-posted from homeowners thread w @PhilKenSebben @Michigan Planner . Good times.

(I didn't get any w/ cushion pics, oh well, you get the idea.)

Let me send you the address for my nautical office. I have the spot already open next to the whiskey cabinet.

Ya they're pretty thrashed.

Anyway, nice little onestop today at my local:

Also another thing I forgot to post earlier: 90s German flecktarn field jacket, great condition. Totally dope. I've never been much for wearing camo but this might convert me.

Man that German Field Jacket is one of my grails. I have a grey Swedish surplus wool one that I outgrew and this is even tops that.

We were talking a week or two back about the Zero Halliburton cases, and whether those who buy them use them as actual luggage. Posted the one I showed y'all and it went out pretty fast for a decent number, as they all do . . . View attachment 2083057

I had a few conversations with interested buyers, and it seems they sell mostly to people who use them for photography equipment, and also this . . . Bitchin' . . . View attachment 2083059 View attachment 2083061

I want one . . .

Dang I have one I got out of a storage unit awhile back that is missing a piece of the latch. Really need to figure out if I should just list as is.

Went to a community costume jewelry sale today, got some stuff I'll photograph a little later, definitely worth it, and not all of its costume.

The things that give me pause are that the "30" on the size tag seems a lot closer to the bottom of the tag than on most comps I can find, and this tag just looks a little off in general (stitching looks kind of jank, text is off-center):

Everything else looks very close though, even down to like the stitching pattern on the letters.
All Tom ford denim whether it's womens or mens will have TF embroidery on the zipper seam. It's his signature stitch. He says that's how people know it's tom ford as he said everyone looks at peoples crotch.

If it's in good shape otherwise, it might be worth the repair (if you can have it done locally, aka no shipping needed). Zero Halliburton will provide parts for almost every case they've made, and contract the work out to local shops. Unfortunately, they don't let you self-repair, which sucks, as they are easy repairs for anyone who's handy. So you need a solid margin to absorb a 3rd party repair.

Thanks @Sartoriamo I'll take a look at that in the next couple of days. I wish they'd just send me the dumb thing, but whatever.

Anyway, on to the stuff from today.
9 & 10kt gold rings.

Good news so far on the tape deck, it powered right up and and looks super well preserved. Belts are intact enough that things are moving. Now I just need to find a dang tape to put in it and see how it sounds!!

It's a 1980 so guessing someone put newer belts in it, will pop the hood to check on that because it's hard to imagine they don't need to be replaced. Looks easy to swap in new ones. Tipping the scales around 20 pounds, thing is a beast.

TC-920B was 1978-1980, K-950 was 1980-1981 so a transition year model. Probably just used up the old manuals or someone (whoever changed the belts?) Paired it up.

Also snagged a minty Eberlestock bag ($13) in that same cart, looks to be for hunting but I can't find the model or even figure out what the rather specialized, detachable shoulder strap half is intended to be used for. That round part is padded, maybe a gun sling?? I don't hunt but the build quality is super solid, couldn't leave it behind.

Any ideas on what this pack is?

EDIT: just found it, the Slingshot ultimate lumbar bag. The top part would water bladders and either a Bow or a Rifle, depending on ones preference.

The Gregory pack is a Serrac 45L, dang if it isn't minty. Going to put that into service.
