With an assist from @GMMcL texting it to Spoo for me, we got him a sweet green leather RL chesterfield e-thrift for pretty close to thrift prices (for something like that), too. Still kinda regret not hoarding that one for myself.

ass down on it as I type this, probably one of my favorite things.

This is the first time I actually found some ties I liked but I don’t always check ties tbh. Was 50% off day today as well so this entire set of finds was under $20.

Decent one stop yesterday. Hadn’t heard of this brand before, but found a trove of it — all NWOT and all size M. Maybe samples for wholesale. Didn’t see much in the way of comps, but the materials were interesting and garments appeared to be well made. Only kopped a few pieces for personal and left a bunch more in various styles.

I first read the hashtag as “#UNFITFOROFFICE” and was wondering who in their right mind would think it a great idea to put that on their brand label. Looks like I’m the dummy.

Not much at the shop today, but Pop on negative feedback.

Already being removed, even though I was slightly tempted to leave it just to ward off other extortionists.
(For everyone who doesn't read the ebay thread, the short version is: buyer demanded a return because of damages to pants, which I think he fabricated for the purpose. Then demanded a partial refund instead, threatened negative feedback if I didn't comply, offered to remove the negative feedback if I did comply, finally said screw it and kept the suit even without his precious partial refund.)

I have ran into some pieces by DYNE. The retail is high, that jacket was probably $750. The pieces have good fabric and construction, they just don't have a huge market. They try hard but social media advertising is becoming dead. Whenever I see it I think it's a cross between lululemon and arcteryx.

I also find a lot of nwt emerging brands like dyne in NYC thrifts, mostly Brooklyn companies doing streetwear/athletileisure. Quality is mostly good but I rarely pick up because most of it is either too generic or too over designed.

I know we all thrift for different reasons but imo checking ties every time is worth it. It is one of the few places in the thrift that you can tell in 10 seconds if some amazing stuff is there, and as discussed previously, I can usually see if a tie is basically undamaged quickly, ties are usually cheap, oftentimes pocket squares and braces are on the same rack and
perhaps most importantly, if you hit a home run, ie. find some hermes, drakes, kiton, Ricci, then it is possible to make back ten times your money. In my instance, Spoo sells the **** out of ties as my reseller and they are small, light and cheap/easy to ship to him.
