Has some issues but I'm not complaining! No clue on size (there's a tag stump in one of the pockets and a loose thread by the collar seam). Has riri medusa zippers, Fiocchi snaps on the cuffs and feels like goatskin to me. Not sure what the collar hardware is about or whether something's missing. Hell I'm not even 100% sure it's real.

2020 has been treating me well thrift wise. Other than the Gucci wallet I found the other day...I don’t usually have much luck in the wallets, bags and other leather goods department. Today I scored something pretty crazy.

A Marni “City Pod” Bag and the condition is legit barely used. I know bags are a very faked thing and unless you know all the markers and signs of authenticity, the risk is always high. I basically just looked at finishing, stitching, leather quality etc. Also metal parts of replica/fake bags are usually always a giveaway of bad plating or detail. That rolled leather handle as well kind of puts me at ease too.

Got it for $19.99.

You can't fool me as easily as cutting off the tag.

I know someone is going to want to save this as a future meme.

Eight working buttonholes on a womans suit jacket. Had to take a quick pic.

Feels good...but not sure as I never come across leather goods much. Hardware feels substantial too.

No tag I can find. Inside has me wondering though.

Any ideas? The leather makes me think possible real. Inside makes me think no?

Volvo guy myself (V70) but totaling digging the VW Scirocco in your garage! That was one badass car back in the day!
That was my first car. Bought it my senior year. The guy was super cool and trusting enough to do a payment plan with an 18 year old! Lots of great memories with it, and have no plans to sell it. The boys love it too, and we take their birthday photos in it each year.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
