I wish...mine's older and much smaller...and pretty dusty. Missing antenna, one knob, and back covers for the batteries and cord. Plugged it in before I bought it to make sure it worked, that much I know. Made in Japan. I see one similar on eBay now, so mine might be worth a buck or two.

I think you would do quite well with that thing. The front of it looks flawless and I'm sure the person purchasing it would be in the market of restoring it anyway and know what to do with the other stuff. Missing parts and such can be found and replaced, damage cannot be undone, and yours seems to be unscathed.

One of those things that sits with my other old/odd components and speakers that maybe one day I'll get around to messing with. Right now I'm just hoarding!

Made 3-4 stops last week (more than usual) with an eclectic mix of stuff.

    VV flag tie

Didn't capture the vibrant colors on this blazer well. Nice material, unsure of the maker

The small thrift closest to my house had a 'fill a grocery bag for ten dollars' sale, in which I stocked up on kid clothing, and a few other random grabs. Jimmy Au Beverly Hills x 6. Pretty nice shirts, apparently made for shorter guys, 3 digit retail. Not sure how to pronounce. Jimmy aah? Jimmy Oww? Jimmy Gold??

Ebay seemed to think this might be a thing, and it's got some deetz

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Cycling jersey/jacket. Pretty sure I haven't used the word assos since high school spanish class

Made in Hawaii cotton tie. Love this one.

The man says pick up rive gauche. Pants. Pretty sure this is the front.

    [IMG][IMG]

Any rock climbers out there? I'm a beginner, and I suspect these are for some specialty type of climbing. Not sure if the crack in the sole is a big deal for personal use, or if can be fixed, but in the grocery bag they went.

    Gitman Vintage

Evidently the adjustable bow tie was patented as early as 1924

miu miu cotton suit, very subtle pinstripe. I rarely/never wear suits, but I would keep this if it fit.

Also I bought a Hermes boutique that was closing down for $15 and a ride in my Maserati. Pics to come.

Getting caught up on this thread after one of the laziest weekends of my life.

"Too lazy to check a messageboard?"

Yes, that's how lazy I was.

    1. TheNeedMachine - Good on you for your ASPCA donation post.

    2. Spoo - As others have already said. Hooooolllyyyy shiiiiittt...
    3. Just a note to my thriftmaser (some mysterious person named SEAM?? can't even begin to guess who that is. [IMG] thanks, wes.) that my thrift exchange box arrived today safe and sound. I'm going to hold off on opening it for a bit, I think. Is that weird? Are other people opening them right away?

That's cool. There is nothing perishable in there, however there are a few fragile items. I usually ship closer to Thriftmas Day so it's not so early. However, I had some technical troubles last week on Monday and needed to fill the time to stay productive, so it got shipped a bit early.

Can you post a more zoomed out view?

They look like ancient high-top climbing shoes. Nothing crazy awesome, but stuff back then was made to last. Those would be usable as is, but would need to be resoled at some point. I'm curious as to whether they are sticky rubber, or if they're older, like pre early 1980s (Boreal released the first sticky rubber shoes in 1982).

    Edit:

Gronell is the company that made those for Camp 7. They're still around, making killer hiking boots in Italy.
