I know it's been a lot of womens shit from me recently but Jompsos gotta thrift and if there's a drought, then Ima make moves...some may be annoyed by this but good news is droughts over, did my dance, even got visual proof from peoples, the stockrooms are piling, the donations are coming in, and the suit racks are fucking loadin up, so shit should be almost back on track fairly soon...shoe game may contineu dunno....

Anyway, im splittin it up, some girls then some boys and repeat

Let's just start off with that boss shit though..

NWOB Giuseppe Zanotti Suede zip and leather buckle boots. Maybe been tried on, these have never seen a sidewalk. They quickly saw my cart.

    [IMG][IMG]

Worn once maybe twice, Manolo Blahnik tonal tiger camo heels, these are nice...

These maybe went for a stroll around the block, essentially brand new

Marni grained Patent leather, Chrome Heels
    [IMG] [IMG]

    [IMG] [IMG]

Mens MMM 22 psychedellic loafers. Judging by the insoles and the actual soles, these too have probably been worn, maybe 5 times tops
    [IMG] [IMG]

    Some pants

New FF navy Zegna wool slacks by incotex, older model incotex super 150s wool, and believe it or not, but these are a POP for me, I mean I've thrifted plenty of suits and blazers...hell the first item I ever thrfiting in my life was an Isaia Aquacashmere, but never, not once, a pair of slacks....well these FF metallic navy blue cotton silk blends are bad ass and getting swiftly stored in my closet cuz luck has it, they happen to be my size also...

    [IMG] [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]

2 more pairs, bottoms are just some Bills Khakis, made for a man of great size...and the second ones
    [IMG]

Are fucking orphaned pinstriped Anderson Sheppards....I mean I would never buy a pair of pinstriped slacks on their own, but these were 5 dollars and I mean, there's just some things you have to do....it would have been nice though if the fucking guy gave the jacket too thoughcuz these are recent, kinda, 2003...fuck...

    Back for some wimminz

I should probably learn first if women are even aware of probably the top thre best wool and cashmere knit manufacturers in the world or if they even care....If they do they'd probably feel this, plus its got gold buttons

    [IMG] [IMG]

    Sure, one more
    [IMG] [IMG]

Now this one, I'm pretty sure women do know of, so I felt just fine adding this to the basket....no blend, 100%
    [IMG] [IMG]

Get's it's own photo cuz this COULD be a pop too, I'm honestly not sure. I've must have thrifted 30 RLPL ties, maybe thats an exaggeration, I dunno, in the past year, however I think this is the first one I finally found that was English silk...normally I'd be stoked cuz I love English silk, but this tie is ugly as fuck so whatever, it's also the onlly one worth grabbing today
    [IMG] [IMG]

One of the nicest looking gray suits I have ever laid eyes on, these photos do no justice, I think my exposure was a little high....I saw the maker and cringed for a second then just didn't give a shit becuase fuck it, it's gorgeous, made by Lardini in Italy, and the wool is amazing which I quickly found out to be due to its Super 120 size. It also happens to be my size but I think admiration is were it will stay in this rlelationship.
    [IMG] [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]

Least fucking favorite brand to thrift....but I noticed that the suit looked like it was barely worn, then checked the pocket and saw a new manufacturers tag, one that neither matches the first one I saw when I started this, or the one they switched too, which leads me to believe that this shit is pretty recent....admiration and passion for clothes took a quick break, Gordon Gekko stepped in, it went in the basket and his job was done
    [IMG][IMG]

Now I don't even need to ask @Nataku or @Fueco if this is the North Face I want, cuz this is the fucking North Face I want. Vtg, Brown Label, made in the US and Goretex, yep...right @Fueco ?
    [IMG] [IMG]

And to finish we have the most baller piece of the day...I happened to cross paths with this while it was rolling out, I saw shearling and attacked without thought and tossed it over the shoulder...had 3 different women try and talk it out of me, tossing the fact that its womens in my face...well I had done my little phone search by that time...Christia Shearling Fur keywords do fine....BECEAUSE THAT IS ALL REAL FUR, NOT PILE, REAL SHIT...needless to say, they were told to fuck off and I bought me a coat....totally worth it I think, if you like shit like money and stuff... I just need to figure out how to transform this thing into that thing...

also it seams like they use three furs, Mink or Sable and I know it isn't fox cuz its too thick, but I don't know which of the others..Sable would be fucking sick though.
    [IMG] [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]

And just quickly, lastly, about 7 months ago I spent 2 weeks removing this entire city of all gator skin products. Not a single item was left on a single rack in a single thrift in this entire city, because @SpooPoker deserves to solely walk on inferior dead creatures and Jompso likes boxes of ties from Spoo. 9 million vs 1 jompso on a quest for gator, Jompso won...there's like 60-70 belts that'll back me up on that....well id say 8 months later and the city is finally getting it's gator back, Spoos reign has come to an end,...and my tie collection has just been getting more solid since...and the 9 million can suck it. Done.

Thanks! The Guerini is pretty awesome. Summit Sporting Ltd w/Case colored receiver, jeweled block, 30" bbls. Was shooting back and forth between a Citori and a Beretta 685 for a season, and was able to make some decent money doing it, picked the Guerini up and haven't looked back. I really like it, although it isn't the prototypical "competition" gun. Has great presence in Sporting Clays, but not so much in skeet. I had an adjustable soft comb installed, and got a full set of Briley tubes made for it. I liked the Perazzi style trigger, which drops out. Had that worked on as well when the tubes were installed, because if I had left it alone, the 410 shells wouldn't have reset the trigger for second shot, so that got tuned up as well.

As far as comparing with Citori, it really depends on what fits and is comfortable. Don't let the big names and price tags change your mind much. Don't get me wrong, I like this gun better than i do the Citori I was shooting, but not because the gun itself is inherently "better," I'm just more comfortable with it. Same could be said for any K gun vs. Perazzi vs DT10/ASE90. One of my friends (best shot I know), has 2 ASE-90s, and is more than capable of purchasing any K-gun or custom he wishes, and I dont think he would change for a million dollars. Met an 87 year old trap shooter a few years back who's LIFETIME trap average was .997 (full handicap) and he shot an old P.O.S. looking Model 12. Its all about what you're most comfortable with, but some guys its a mental thing, they'll convince themselves they're more comfortable with a $12k Krieghoff instead of a Ruger Red Label, and because its in their head, its true.

Comp. shooting is so mental, its crazy. I'd rather carry a Citori in the field over my Guerini though, only because of the risk to the finish and price. So theres that too.

Clothing stuff coming next, sorry for tangent. :slayer: :nodding:

Prescription doesn't hurt value too bad actually. As expensive as frames alone are, and as cheap as you can get lenses online made, values are still pretty decent.

And with the glasses...if they aren't vtg, original runs (Ill explain) but designer, I wouldn't bother. When I say original run, I mean when they where first or still being produced in house, in the companies own manufacturing facility, all done under the companies roof. I.e. Oliver Peoples being made in Japan or Christian Dior being made in Austria or Germany or whatever, or your Paul Smiths if they're made in Japan they're money....but designer glasses, at least current ones, are essentially complete pieces of shit right now. Sure the design house maintains creative control and designs the glasses, but they're all being made in 1 of 2 factories, either by Luxxotica in Italy or safilo in Italy. These are essentially sweat shops with work regulations. They make calvin klien frames on the same operation belt that the gucci ones are being made on...everything is mass production and the resale is garbage...unless they are those few niche brands that will always sell just based off name alone, Chanel for example, leave em and try to focus more on the the more rare and obscure....like I just picked up a pair of Fendi Zodiac frames, made in like the 1950s, epic condition, and paid a premium but was worth the coin cuz thats the type of shit people are into and want to buy cuz those are the investments and the demand....mass produced garbage is being shit out daily non stop and the markets not there because people know that theyll always be there. But if you find out glass companies original origin of operation and production and purchase frames from there instead, then you have good investments....but shit like the Carreras and stuff are standard no brainers too

Edit: My bad, I saw those RLs made in Italy and they stuck which influenced that blurb, it looks like in general you know what your lookin for, apologies.

    Nice! Thanks dude!

That's good food for thought there, I really appreciate it. Wasn't so sure on the stuff like the RLs and Ferragamo frames. Paul Smiths are both Japan, for sure. Was kinda branching out into other stuff to pick up, definitely fun to learn the ins and outs of everything else! I'm sure some of these and others I've got in the backlog yet are going to be less than stellar successes, some fails I'm sure, as should be expected when trying new stuff.

Good info like that makes it better for the next run!

Depends on price too obviously. I fucking love glasses. They're basically all .49 or .99 cents here so the margins are ridiculous.

Jompso is right though, modern frames are a legit joke. Walk into a store in the mall or whatever and look at the prices. All that shit is basically made in the same fucking place and the prices are hilarious for what they are. The vintage stuff brings really good money because the market would rather pay for the older stuff made in house and then have lenses made than buy new frames with little intrinsic value.

Love those Carreras btw. Nice haul!

No kidding, the glasses bins are always fun to browse, I like the prices. :nodding:

The frustrating part of glasses is the cases; you see a case with some cool name on it, only to find them empty or stuffed with some crap. Found several Oliver Peoples, Zegna, etc... Always empty.
