Of course you make ur money back just on the zegna tux and zegna and canali sc assuming they are all fairly recent.
Everything else is money in the bank.might take awhile.
I would drive down pull out 800 bills and he will take it.

or you could just thrift all that crap and pay way way way less than 800 and not have to deal with the trash. $20 per isn't bad for a handful of that stuff but it's a ripoff when you apply it to much of that stuff...

i would grind him over email, tell him you'll pay x for the cherries and donate the rest of it in his name as a solid. if he bitches tell him to go ************. of course, if you offer x, he accepts, and then you find out the zegna etc are horribly dated and styled then the jokes on you.

i would not bother, dude's clearly a reseller and doesn't want to deal with the dregs. i wonder why?

I doubt he's a reseller since all of the stuff is the same size, if I'm not mistaken. I'm betting it's a guy who lost some weight and wants a little chunk of change. I'd say it's worth taking a look.

ah i think you're right... saw 36-40 and assumed suit sizing but i think that's the pants which is a reasonable spread (so to speak)

I think that is the key differentiation here. If you do this for a living. then I say sure - go for it.

If you have a more than full time job, and do this as a hobby for fun and some change on the side from time to time, then pass.

I'm assuming "suit jackets" means sport coats and not orphans. If it's all/mostly new or recent, I'd offer $600. Anything that was pure **** (Jahne Barnes, Joseph Abboud, etc.) I'd take to a local cosignment store.

If they're all from the same timeframe, these BOSS names are ones I pass on at any price, almost every day. Most of them are unvented, hard 3, or 2 with a super low gorge.

philosophical differences aside, if op agrees that laying out $800 to double it over the course of a few weeks/months (per your post) is a good deal then sure. the math seems about right...

my $.02, every dollar you squeeze out of the buy is just more gravy on the other side. hustle is hustle.
