I love that shirt. But I've seen similar ones on ebay. What is different about this version?

Hello all,

I recently purchased a pair of RRL Low Straights (http://thumbnail.image.rakuten.co.jp/@0_mall/linkle/cabinet/img56341104.jpg) and they're my first pair of good denim - I'm just now moving past Diesels, etc. However, I had also lost some weight, and now fit into a 34 waist. So I got a pair of 34x34 Low Straights, but they clearly fit big. The actual waist is more like 36. They fit nicely through the legs, it's just the waist is too big. I've worn them for several months now, and I'm hardly seeing any fading. After some reading it seems to me that you need to downsize with denim like this in order to see some fading/creasing coming in.

Two questions - does anyone know if these are sanforized or not? For some reason, I thought I read somewhere that they are. If so, giving them a hot soak won't shrink them much, correct? If not, should I take these to a professional tailor and have them taken in at the waist?

Thanks for your help.

Andrew

There's a jacket that's very similar in the new Montana collection. I think it was tagged at $ 495. You might want to get an SA to shoot a couple of pix.

Gave up my hunt for the USMC jacket...so now I am just looking for a good ol'denim jacket (already faded).

Hey guys, I need your help. Take a look at the first page/post and let me know what I can update/add. Now with SF 2.0 I'm able to edit the post when before I couldn't. There were a few that mentioned some new stores in the past and I'd also like to update the NYC info. Cheers, who
Nice, thanks for keeping it updated.

It's on sale for $ 216.50 less 25%.
Asked an SA and they quoted me $179 instead of $162, not a big deal but strange how pricing's different between stores. Anyone know when collections like Kon-Tiki will be hitting the outlets and how much further marked down they'd be?

IF anyone is interested in some black RRL jeans, or dark grey wool pants, please let me know ASAP. I am going to be up some in case someone wants. The sizing is sparse - mostly 28'' or 29" waists, and even some with 24" through 27" waists - all with 34' inseam. Let me know if you are interested. They would probably costs like $100 or so a piece.

Sorry, I didn't see any, but I did see white button RRL shirts in an XL. If I see 32" - 36" I'll pick up for you guys to see.

Thanks edubs.

That's exactly like last seasons except with the pocket embroidery.

Dude, you have a 34/35 waist and you can fit size 34 LE chinos? Not noticeable in the fit pics, but aren't they practically falling down off the waist?

The one with lighter weight denim than the slubby one?

Probably just added in the $15 shipping for you in the total. I wouldn't expect much Kon Tiki to make it to outlets, usually with the later summer collections it's stuff like the striped tees, short sleeve sweats, cargo shorts that end up making it to outlets.

That Montana jacket is a hunting type jacket, and made out of khaki bedford twill (corduroy like) w/ brown corduroy collar. Pocket (w/ flaps) arrangement is close, but totally different style jacket. The USMC jacket being more chore coat like and made out of herringbone twill w/ metal donut buttons.

There is a distressed denim jacket from SS11, but the style is nothing special, could easily find a vintage jacket for far less than the sale price.

I asked about that but it was their "pre-shipping" final price (NY location). Possibly different pricing?

Never ceases to amaze me how much you know about RRL. :worship:
