Very interesting post. And what about the "Object of affection"? We are all curious now...!

Sure! I'll finish up the "go-to" pieces first before going to the "objects of affection". Would love to see what the rest of you consider to be favorites.

Those are some great pieces and I have a few of those myself, including the Clifton boots which I hate to say I haven't worn in over a year. Time to change that! RRL denim is my weakness, and I've probably built a collection of 25 pair in various weights, mainly low straights and slim, with a few of the higher rise straight leg thrown in. I loved their boot fit from a few years back, and am disappointed they don't really do those anymore.

I have a weakness for RRL denim as well—owning around 10 pairs, with the majority slim and straight. I have a single pair of the Boot Cuts (Sante Fe wash) that I like a lot. The only Double RL fit I'm not keen on is Low Straight; just can't seem to get comfortable in those jeans—a problem related more to my body type than the cut of the denim.

I buy all my RRL denim in 30 or 31 waist; I've found that I like the overall fit of the 31's better so I usually end up taking in the waist in by about an inch.

I still work a couple of pairs of LVCs into the rotation and have recently become enamored of Stevenson Overall's denim.

Was only a matter of time before I ventured into the "tailor shop." I don't have an extensive knowledge of dress shirts, banana republic, j crew, brooks brothers, eton, but these are right up there wth the best for off the rack. My body type sucks for most everything, but these will do the trick and get plenty of wear. As for the sweater jacket? Far surpassed my expectations. Super comfortable and heavy. It'll keep you warm.

I’ve been lurking for quite some time now but finally ready to post my first RRL piece! This one stands out, and people compliment/ask where I got it almost every wear. Very happy with it, although the fit length could have been a touch longer for my 6’1” height.

Sorry for the small scale of the item, I needed to show how it matched the signage while on a trip in Portland ?

Just got the pleated cords, and they're super dope. Generously sized, with a high rise, roomy top
block, and fairly wide leg, they're constructed from luxurious Japanese corduroy and finished with slant pockets. Going to get them tapered from a 9.5 inch leg opening to an 8.5, and hemmed with a 2-inch cuff and no break. Highly recommend picking these up -- serious vintage vibes and a nice reprieve from all of your tight jeans:fence:

I ordered these over the weekend ...

I guess it begins...the beginning of me ordering pleats and wider legged pants again...I noticed the higher-fashioned pieces going looser and bigger and pleated the last couple years with dismay...being pencil leg-ged, I've enjoyed the slim-straight legged jeans though most of the last decade...alas it appears things are moving well the other way...

...but as they say..when in rome..do as the romans...or just look out of date...

Although pleated and relaxed, I think they're fairly versatile, especially if you make a tasteful alteration or two. They're also really comfortable. I suspect you'll like them. Let us know what you think when they arrive.

Nice. Does anyone know how to size on the RRL Western shirts? Stick your normal sizing in tips or size up one? I'm usually a medium in tops including RRL.

I'd stick with a medium, although they're slightly slimmer in the body
