Went to see the Titanic exhibition at the National Harbour today.
All linen.

Was pretty harrowing.

My wife’s grandfather lived aboved those. She has fondly mentioned them a few times. I showed her the article and photos. She got nostalgic and want to see them one last time. Apparently John McCain lived there too. She recalls bumping into him a time or two there.

It was always kind of weird down there. Crystal City would have been more vibrant if all the shops were on street level.

We looked at apartments there a while back but didn’t like the area much.
My office was located above those shops when I entered the work force. Many drunken happy hours were held at Hamburger Hamlet and San Antonio.

Where are your normal hangout spots? As I mentioned, Reveler's Hour is very good. Namak is a Mediterranean restaurant next door to Perry's that just opened. It's well worth a visit.
Before the pandemic it was Liberty Tavern and Spirit of 76 but now we find ourselves rotating between Green Pig or Lyon Hall. I find myself disappointed with the quality of their food.

Also, the wife and I usually have date nights in DC on Thursday; we just got back from Annabelle in DuPont.

Ive been to San Antonio for work stuff as well. That underground felt a bit Post Apocalyptic to me.

Green Pig and Lyon Hall are two of our favs. Maison Cheryl is decent. Arlington for me is better for casual food I guess. Four Courts, Ragtime, Mexicali Blues, Northside. DC much better for really good chow.

Fair enough, my wife and I like going to Perry’s and Lapis just to get away from the Arlington restaurant scene. The quality of food has gone down at our normal hangout spots.
Went to Joon a few months back, was incredible. I would dare venture back to Virginia for it 😉

Is Tysons part of Arlington?

How was Annabelle? I pass it by whenever I walk from the Dupont Circle art galleries to my home in Adams Morgan on the first Friday of every month when the galleries are open late (like tonight). The ambiance looks very nice. I've always wondered about the food.

We always pass it on our way to the Phillip's Collection so we decided to walk in and give it a go. We were presently surprised by the ambiance, food, and drinks; I'll definitely be going back.

They are owned by the Knightsbridge Group; the same owners of Sababa and Rasika.

Now I need to try it. Planning on seeing new exhibit at Phillips soon.

Sababa and Rasika are both excellent.
