/\ PNP does carry that line.

The sole does look a little warped in the pic I posted. Didn't someone here do a return on a different pair because of the same issue?

The 10 Sei 0 guys need to finish their footwear to a higher level if they want to compete in the baller footwear wars. The warped sole, improperly dressed leather edge near the vamp, low quality/uneven stitching are just a few of the issues that come to mind. Oh,and that heel should be firmly flat when the shoe is standing like that - so there's a balance issue as well. Not good.

Forward is a subsidiary of Revolve, which is in West Hollywood iirc. I am not sure if they carry brands from Forward though, never really been there. Give them a call before you make the drive.

Well when you're making Guidi leather shoes for under $800 something has to give, huh?

I think these "flaws" are intentional, though that doesn't make them good.

you make it sound as though 800 bucks was cheap...

i think you can get vass or c&j handgrand for that price, just sayin. 800 should realistically be able to get you a good pair of full grain, unwarped leather boots.

It's cheap for the niche. Which is becoming overcrowded.

IMO if you want something like this you're better off just saving for IS, m.a+, Augusta, etc.

exactly, if you can buy the best made shoes for 800 why do you have to settle for this aesthetic? they've got everyone conditioned to auto-respond like that when it's clearly marketing and not actually based on cost to manufacture

Well, Guidi leather is fairly expensive to source. I've noticed brands moving away from it because of that. KKA won't use it any more and Lien offers their boots in Guidi and non-Guidi versions for preorder.

It's also worth noting that Vass has a much larger pool of potential clients than all of these niche brands combined, so they can bear smaller margins.

All this to say that there's no excuse for shoddy workmanship on a boot that costs over $800. But I suspect the 10 sei boots are designed this way on purpose, while doubling as a cost cutting measure. It's ugly, whatever the reasoning behind it.

What hell is going on, 10sietto is going for $800 :puzzled: . Just a season ago their boots were 400/500 range and went even lower on sale. Yea folks at 800 those guys need to step up their game like crazy.

There is a guy, i think the moth / mothman or something like that, on SZ who wears black shell aldens with his fits; hence, Vass can get mixed in as well if one does not want to pay for Guidi but get something of high quality. I definitely think if you buy derbies for an avant garde style you are better off with buying something from the MC lines so you can double up and wear the derby with a suit or casual. Other than a distressed effect there is not much of a diff with the quality.
