Good question.  I was leaning towards the Natty LWB that Epaulet was offering... because it came in the Leydon last and I was looking for a narrower last than Barrie.  However one part of the description says it is Leydon and another part says it is Barrie.  I guess I'll shoot them an email.

Anyhow, the Brown PTB definitely looks sharp so that is definitely why I am tempted....

It's Leydon.

Keep in mind the natty CXL gets much darker fairly quickly. It's not the same brown as the Brown CXL of the PTB, but it does not stay that lighter/olive-ish hue for very long.

I have a pair from Epaulet as well, and they are def Leydon last. I know that others have done the same shoe on Barrie, but I'm so glad to have found them on Leydon.

yeah, i am definitely interested in the Leydon version... and why I was interested in the Epaulet makeup. Mike @ Epaulet forwarded me this pic of the Natty CXL which I personally like....

MrDV and BeSpiff: Your Ravello is outstanding.

If I could have 5 pairs of Ravello LWB and PTB it could never be redundant.
Thank you so much sazon. Today I'd settle for a pair of Alden Ravello just about anything, it's that nice of a colour.

Epaulet brown CXL PTB

I wanted a nice, daily shoe....but more importantly I needed something to hold me over while I'm waiting for some Pre-orders to be filled!!

Mine arrived on Wednesday last week and I wore them over the weekend a few times and to work today. Extremely comfortable and they seem like they will be very versatile.

[/quote]Congratulations to you and tifosi both for scoring such nice daily burners. I've never seen them before, but I'm definitely impressed. Wear in the best of health gentlemen.

Anyone got fit pics of the CXL dover blucher? I'm considering getting a pair, but the shots from straight down don't really show what the shoe looks like in service.

**cross post from the shoe care thread.**
just bought these used aldens.
any ideas on how to remove these stains? or a decent shoe cobbler in san diego?

Wow, those are sweet. Congratulations. Assuming they are calfskin, I'll bet a couple separate applications of neutral cream will gradually take them out.
