Maiden voyage for these Arabica Lux "Lafayette Hills" Indy boots from Sherman Bros. Cannot express how incredible these are with the handsewn details! Undecided whether I pursue patina or baby them since I love the coffee color of these.

I'd love to see these machine stitched. I'm probably the only one who prefers it to handstitched on non-shells

I just decided to pull the trigger on the Leffot Tanker on neocork, and yeah man, $966.00 or so felt bad. Here's hoping theyre as amazing as they look on the site.

Regular suede, calf, and CXL now costs more than what shell did when I first started buying Aldens. Though I wonder if the rate of increase has outpaced inflation as a whole. Maybe not...

Well they arrived yesterday and its as I feared: theyre definitely too small. Damn barrie last variability. I have bought Barrie shoes and boots for years but lately they just seem to be so irregular in terms of fit. In this case, I definitely need an E width, which Leffot didnt make this round. Maybe next time.

They are completely gorgeous though; if anyone is on the fence definitely buy them if theyre available in your size.

I also supplement the break-in wears with adjusting a split-toe shoe tree to stretch the vamp a little if needed.
Yep im doing that some. Got a little blister on my heel this time. I know it will come in time. The left foot feels pretty good but the right is higher instep and a little wider so it is feeling it.

I would. They will feel a little different but the actual dimensions of the shoe won’t differ enough to justify getting another width.
