Happy WTW to my forum pals. Rain outside, so I went with CXL.

I would like to learn about model #968, a Norwegian Split Toe upper pattern with double leather sole. Has anybody here worn this shoe (black, brown or tan are the available stock colors) ?
For casual wear I prefer a leather sole and even though Alden categorizes this one as a dress style I think it could be fine as a casual, walking type shoe. Your thoughts ?

I've got the tan version, 962. One of the better looking shoes I own, and very versatile. Can pull the tan color off with jeans, but I'm usually wearing with wool slacks or chinos, etc.

Thanks for your helpful reply. However I've since learned that for my B width Alden only produces in black the NST blucher w/double leathers sole. I am interested to purchase a B width brown or tan blucher shoe. Several years ago I wore the Alden model 947 (All Weather Walker), and it was a fine shoe, but this time around I would like to purchase a leather sole shoe.
