Almost all of my Aldens are on Barrie - I love it.

Sid Mashburn has had some cool makeups in the past (e.g., Ravello Dover). No idea if H. Stockton has anything interesting. Also no idea where they are relative to where you'll be.

That leather stayed surprising soft and pliable even after they were made up. A unlined loafer might be wicked.

Was thinking of putting some vibram soles on a pair of alden boots, I know not everyone's cup of tea.

Any recommendations on who may be able to do this? A.h. one?

I'm in nyc, any shops in the area that are recommended?
