My snuff itch has finally been scratched, courtesy of @jhcam8. (That sounded better in my head, I think...) Lol!
Came home to a stunning pair of shoes! Thank you again!!!
*Edit: Also, I am open to any suggestions on the best way to protect them. Thanks in advance!

Beautiful shoes. I use Moneyworth pro-Tex nano that I purchase from Amazon and it works like a charm. It is easy to apply and does not change the color of the suede. Also purchased some saphir omnidaim Suede cleaned which I have used several times and is a fantastic cleaning product. I always brush mine lightly after each wear. It is amazing how resilient suede is to the conditions.

Thank you! It is my first pair of 'nice' suede shoes, and I want to keep them looking proper. They look even better in person, the photos don't do them justice... Ironically, this weekend is the first steady rain we've had in Chicago in almost 2 weeks, go figure. LOL!

In other news, I just had to send two of my favorite pairs of boots to Alden because the stitching connecting the lower end of the eyestay to the vamp is coming undone. Real bummer.

Well, that was fast. Sent the boots to Alden on Wednesday, they arrived there on Thursday (I live 40 miles away). I got them back today, which makes that pretty much a 24 hour turnaround. Quite impressed. The boots came back with new boxes and new laces, and with the eyestays firmly stitched down now. I also asked Alden to stitch one of the tongues to the side of the boot, as it was slipping constantly off to one side, and they did that as well. Overall very pleased.

Is it just me, or do the original cordovan chukkas get almost no love among thread readers anymore? I remember that used to be a staple shoe

They're not Alden, but I've got 3 cordovan chukkas in various colors and love them. I agree that it's a staple. Not sure why we don't see more of them here...

I like the look of the ptb chukkas when new but do not like them so much after worn. The rolls are to pronounced for me. I’m sure I am the minority here on that.

Gents on my new shell 975s I found this in one of the back heal lining. Let it ride or should I swap out the shoes? My wife thinks I am being OCD.
