Also a pair of V-Tips (Seller calls them U-Tips... not sure if there's a difference) on the Modified Last in Cigar Shell. These must be pretty old but they look like they are in great condition and I've always been partial to the model...

It's a low volume last, so they were snug across the vamp, but just right everywhere else, including the length. Another thing to consider is that I bought them in -store on Madison Avenue in winter, so I was likely wearing a slightly heavier sock. Still, they broke in to accommodate my foot perfectly, and they are my most comfortable spring/summer shoe. With thin or no socks, they are perfectly loose.

That would be a rather large letdown. Wonder how that happened. Makes me wonder if someone was expecting Color 8 and got Whiskey...

I don't think I've ever seen these, even though they were supposedly made for the DC shop recently (2013). I've only seen the Cigar versions from mdub's photos. Size 8.5.

Hmmmm, was thinking of taking a shot, but I think I'll pass.

I thought about it as well, but the more I look at the photos, the less I like the makeup. A bit odd to me to have a medallion cap toe without any other broguing elsewhere on the shoe, especially on a blucher.

Just received these whiskey chukkas courtesy of my good man Chippy (@chipshot). After extensive brushing, renomat, deer bone, renu, and a light coat of brown wax I was able to sport them to work for whiskey Wednesday!


Gentleman I present to you two chucks! ...and an obligatory amount of zero fuh-...erm, scratch that last bit.
