http://dresswell.jp/onlineshop/item/93483218Ran across an interesting makeup today, but can't seem to pinpoint the last (Seller was not able to help). Has anyone seen the following makeup anywhere or have any more info?
Earth Reverse Chamois Indy Boots
Crepe Soles
Speedhooks

That's the only retailer I can find that carried that specific makeup. The last appears to be the TruBalance, but I'm not too sure
edit: I thought the description was on the side, but it's under and was written by "Staff Comments." It's the TruBalance last according to Google Translate
Question for all of you Alden boot afficianados.
I recently received these Navy Chamois tankers and my question regards the heel. As you can see from the photo, when the boot is on the ground, only the front tip of the heel touches the ground and the rest of the heel is raised 1/16th+ of an inch off the ground.
I think maybe the problem arises due to the fact that the commando "nubs" on the sole are so short. The only other commando boot I have is a Viberg and those "nubs" are nearly 3 times taller leading to a relatively flush contact of the heel on the ground.
When I step, only that heel contact point hits the ground leading to an uncomfortable pressure on the bottom of my foot there....the boot then is able to pivot like a see saw on that point, leading to a weird step....I have the desire to take a grinder to the contact point creating a bevel so the heel lays more flat.
Is the heel situation normal for Alden commando boots and something I have to get accustomed to and wear that contact point down?
Thanks.
I've had this on a few of my commando soled Aldens. I also have a pair that sits flush to the ground. Not sure which is "normal" for Alden.Question for all of you Alden boot afficianados.
