I also have a couple Natalino crew necks from last year. The neck hole is small, but I like it because my shirt collars tend to be pretty tall. I could see a smaller collar getting lost under there potentially, but with Natalino shirt collars or bigger, it looks really good in my opinion.
This is correct. It is an intentionally higher crew-neck collar ("...a raised, reinforced neck designed to fit close to the neck"). It's certainly not a mock-neck, but sits slightly higher.

I wear a 16.5 neck, and my big head fits through last season's just fine. I also like it, but concur that a small collar would not work well with these sweaters.

Finally got to try Natalino jackets. I've been a long time S&M wearer (i.e 38S Contemporary Neo Cut is great fit bit 0.5in short) but looking to switch given recent experience and Natalino seems to fit the bill.

I ordered both 46 and 48 of the Natural Windowpane Wool Cashmere Blend Jacket. As the consensus seems to agree that Natalino runs on the bigger size, I think 46 is a better fit at the front but the 48 drapes cleaner at the back but I've been out of this tailoring scene since Covid so looking to hear everyone's thoughts. I do like the relaxed tailoring fit like how the site model wears it so would taken in the waist of the 48 works then?

First 4 pics are 46, followed by 4 pics on the 48. I threw in the S&M 38S Contemporary Neo Cut in the last pic for reference (I do find it to be less casual despite the Neo cut).

For reference, I'm 170cm and 67kg.

TIA!

Defo the 46 but it’s not very clean around the back but may just need pressing
S&M is overall the better fit in my opinion

Thank you. Would you still say the same with the latest set of pics I've edited in? I tried to get better proportions and lighting.

My issue with S&M is that it feels more formal, rigid and less casual, relaxed tailoring.

The 46 seems to be pulling a bit awkwardly around your lower back/back in general. Also just a question to you, is it just the pictures or are the vents on the 46 not closing properly, it seems to be stretched open a bit?

It seems we might be getting new denim and, specifically, actual 30'' inseam this time around, which is great news for me. Unfortunately and weirdly there doesn't seem to be a dry indigo option, only washes, including ecru and a new washed black (not bad but given I still need a real staple pair I'll probably pass on that).
I might get the ecru then.

What's the usual response time for the Fedex return label from the US? I think they use some third party admin service for that but it's been 2 days and I have not heard anything back.

Which size did you end up deciding to send back?

Decided to send both back unfortunately. As much as I like the construction and the price point, the 46 is tight around the waist thus messes up the back and the 48 is too big in the chest. Alteration on that would run quite a bit so it's best for me to find another maker. I'm sad.

That’s too bad but at least you were able to figure it out!

For anyone's curious coming from Spier & Mackay. Here's the visual comparison between the Natalino size 46 and S&M size 38R contemporary regular (non-Neo) cut.

The chest and waist almost match up to a tee. They're basically the same. You'd however notice the Natalino is like half in shorter, has higher armhole and more extended shoulder.
