Take charge and start up a parallel east coast party.
PS: if that doesn't work out, you're in charge of finding the best deal on the plane charter (obvi)

OBVI :fistbump:

Hopefully, by the 25th anniversary, teleportation will be an affordable reality.

or floo powder

who is Al?

Like a Bar Mitzvah, but with more awkwardness that will be mitigated with booze.
I'm hoping that Mr. Corbera shows up. We will put him on a chair and do that thing people do at Jewish weddings.

Now, if someone will tell me where to get non-crappy food in the city center of Florence, I would be very appreciative. The deserts and espresso at Rivoire acquit themselves well, but I can't be sustained on torte del nonno alone, and it's been years since I've been here. Those times, I either ate what I was fed (sometimes pretty well), or whatever I could afford (not much, and not great, generally).

Have you tried Trattoria Mario? Cheap, hole-in-the-wall, simple food but very poputar. Open only for lunch.

I'll try that. I know that the center is a tourist trap (duh), but seriously, that pizza made some of the worst pizza I've had in Rome seem like a slice of heaven (a hard feat, let me tell you.)

I live near SF and I've never been to an SF event so I'm looking forward to this.

Well if you had sold the Calder instead of donating it you could have financed a mobile backed, mobile party…

This would be such a great opportunity for :
- an edmorel trunk show
- an Armoury popup shop

I have been championing this kind of idea for a while now: If the meet-ups happened more regularly (say, biannually or quarterly), merchants could plan for trunk shows and the like and members could better plan travel arrangements.

Since the New Yorkers are missing out in March, how about a mass meet-up around January 21st-24th while everyone is in town for market?

+1. I doubt you'll get in with Pitti on though / expect to wait a long time if eating in a group of +2.

Incorrect! Pete and I went this afternoon, and both the pasta with meat sauce and the pork chop acquited themselves very well.

Ideas for the party, barring Vox's sacrifice of $20 for humanity's sake?
