One of the conditions of my marriage is that the thermostat never goes below 70. It's on 74 during the day in the winter.

I guess the nice thing about this house is that I don't seem to need AC too often. It's 83 outside and 74 on the first floor without AC. Upstairs is hot, but I'm not up there during the day. I'll turn it on at night.

I feel bad for people with MAGA parents. My parents are liberal. We're mostly on the same page, but there are a few weird cultural things that I try to avoid getting into debates about. (like my mom hates pit bulls) That's about the extent of it.

My parents moved to Southern Utah, presumably because the Bay Area wasn’t white enough.

Your comment reminds me of my college Geology instructor. He quipped once in class that he felt bad for students with liberal pants because rebelling would lead them to Conservatism. Obviously, he was a child of the late 1960s.
