Let me add (fresh/good) raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and grapefruit. I like grapefruit so much I call it "greatfruit."

K&L Wine Merchants have a '96 D'Yquem for $139 (375ml), and a '97 D'Yquem for $149(375ml). While not "cheap," I'm sure you could swing a half-bottle by not eating out a few times.

Awww, well if that isn't the cutest thing...

Joking aside, if I had to pick a perfect fruit it would be a perfectly ripe pomegranate.

Duck. If it's on the restaurant menu, I'm ordering it, no matter how it's prepared.

Peking duck with pancakes, scallions, and hoisin sauce is on my short list of final meals.

Hmmm, maybe the price at Costco is $99 not $199 and I misquoted it...I'll have to check next time I go. They usually are hyper competitive on price and buy in such extreme quantities so I find it hard to believe that they would trail that far behind K&L.

Duck confit. In particular, the stuff I made this weekend.

I forgot to add fresh figs, right off the tree, to my list. Heavenly!

I may have to go out for Peking Duck shortly....

Vietnamese grilled pork sub.

Carbs, veggies, meat. Sweet, sour, savoury with a hint of char.

I love all of these things dearly. Keep in mind matt that you grew up enjoying truffles in France where they aren't such a big deal in the same way as they are here.

Phở. If you've had it, you'd understand why.
