Very impressed with how promptly my belly aching was accommodated. Give Max a raise, I say!
Let's be real, simply existing in North Carolina come summertime is an ordeal as it is. The idea of being properly dressed is its own version of torture.
That said, I'm more intrigued at the prospect of the 7A suit now knowing the weight. Would look pretty swell paired with my Solbiati glen check linen ties for summer weddings...whenever social gatherings once again become a thing.

It's a burden. That's for sure. Lol.

I've found that once temps get to 90 and the humidity is up (basically mid-June through mid-September here), heavier open weave fabrics really aren't doing do much without an associated breeze. I have some normal weight fresco trousers that can be very warm in the middle of July...unless a hurricane is going on. Then they're fine.

That light blue John Foster jacket, at it's lightweight 250 gr., is now peaking my curiosity.

I don't even bother wearing tailored clothing in the summer time in Houston. I'll just wear polos or short sleeve linen shirts to the office from mid-May through mid-September.

I'm trying to figure out somewhat conflicting advice I've seen in The Armoury's videos and from Drop93. I'm buying matching pieces of a suit separately, and my jacket measurement is 48 (38) but it seems like trousers at 44 (29) would better fit my usual waist size. In this video, The Armoury recommends getting the same size jacket/trousers so the proportions match (I could just tailor the waist). But then I was told I should get 44 if I think it fits me best. Any opinions?

You should get what fits you. Not everyone has the same proportions. You could also get the size in-between and take in the waist some. In my experience, taking in the waist one size works fine (I often have to do this because I have larger legs), but taking the waist in two sizes can be pushing it.

Also, just make sure that 44 is actually the right size for you. 29 trousers won't generally measure 29 inches if they are meant to be worn at the actual waist. They will generally be a couple inches larger than that.

I think you’re reading too much into that section of the video, what I think Mark is trying to say is that the style of trousers should compliment in proportion the jacket. So if you have a traditionally fitting jacket (a little longer and looser than some trendier style) the trousers should have similar drape.

FWIW, I just ordered the MTM suit described above, but I went with a 52 jacket and 53 trousers, since I need a little extra room in the waist/seat.

I know I'm the minority but I don't find the RJ for Armoury TTS, I'm typically US 36S and EU46R or Short (depends on brand) everywhere (and waist is size 30/EU46), somehow I always end up having to take EU44 (both jacket and pants) or maybe for the smaller size it's a bit whacky?

I totally agree. My only question is whether it's a little duplicative of this piece: https://thearmoury.com/collections/...l-model-3-sport-coat-1?variant=32554907631687. Seemed a little weird for a relatively small collection to have two light blue spring/summer-weight pieces. Do you have a preference between the two? One concern I have with the lighter blue one is that it's a little too close to light blue shirting, which would knock out the most versatile shirt color. But I do think both are great.
