I have those red micro soles on a pair of tan Indys. They are very springy compared to harder rubber soles like commando. Very comfortable.

Agree, and these are the last of the "real" red rubber soles, company that made the soles went out of business. Kind of rare item now.

It's funny how taste can change in this game. When I grabbed my Ravello Barrie splits, it was the culmination of a very long search. I was determined that at some point there was overlap with my Aberdeen's and knew at some point I would move them. Got an offer on day one for a little more than my opening bid price (which I normally accept early in the auction) but got cold feed. The more I looked at them the tougher it became to choose. Where years ago I really wanted commando, now that double leather is looking more like my style. Since I can't choose, I have decided to list them both (though I raised the price on the Aberdeen's). Here's the link to my new listing, the Barrie's. They are unworn though creased from try-on. I also had Aram add exposed eyes. Couple pic's of the Barrie's with a family shot as well.......

Listing a rare pair of Ravello wingtip boots and hoping to keep them in the enthusiast community rather then dropping them on Ebay. In my personal opinion, this makeup is the ultimate wingtip boot makeup from Alden. Asking $950 net. They are in excellent original condition. Some signs of wear that should be apparent from the images - some marks here and there that should either bone or brush out. Soles are solid, heel lifts showing some wear but still have life.

Size 9D on the Barrie last.

My favorite makeup of the Snuff suede Alden Indy on the Trubalance last in a 10D. This particular makeup is on the commando sole, split reverse welt, tonal stitching, and gold eyelets. Original condition with fairly minimal use. Catch and release due to sizing error. Asking $415 net.

Agreed. The only pair I have that is definitely not for sale are my ravello wings and the color is no where near as rich as these. For under a grand, phenomenal deal!
