I haven't had the chance to post for a week or so due to my schedule. I have lots of stuff to post.
First, some background:
It was suggested that I get in touch with a guy because he had "a bunch of stuff to get rid of." I've heard this before and I always follow-up with a lead. However, most of the time it's a bust. Without any information, I get in touch with this guy and he's happy to hear someone may be interested in his stuff.
I drive to him to meet and he turns out to be an incredibly nice guy. I also get some more details: His father died and he has all of his stuff. He's an only child and doesn't need anything.
He suggests that we put the bags on hold and take a look at some of the accessories he put together for me. He wasn't sure what I wanted, so he said I could take a look. He has a giant moving box filled with stuff. Most of it is still in old, original shopping bags but I know all of the stores. I opened 2-3 of the bags and told him that this is great stuff and I'd happily pay for it. He said "that's great news, because I've got 10 more boxes."
We start talking about the bags and prices and he said "Look, I live out of the country and would love to get rid of all of the bags before I leave. Let's try to make a deal with this." I ended up buying all of the bags, which thrilled him. We started pricing the boxes filled with accessories individually but that was tedious. We started pricing by the pile/room. Eventually, I said I'd take it all and sort it out.
It took me a few days to get it all and it's a LOT. It's not all great, lots of things to donate, but incredible stuff throughout. He was thrilled that I took it all, he thought he was going to have to make multiple trips and do it himself. It wasn't like he didn't know what he was selling...I told him prices if he wanted to go at it alone. He said he has no need for it himself and wouldn't possibly have the time/desire to sell it himself.
So, I'll do multiple posts of this stuff over the next few days.
Availability: Right now, nothing is available for trade. My wife watched our 1 year old and 2 year old without me for the better part of the week, taking them all out with our dog. Since I haven't organized it completely, nothing will be available until I recoup costs. I like to think everyone understands that position.
As I was organizing it, you can see some of the stores. All of the stuff was from the '60s-00s and unopened since it was originally packed in the store. It's the most fun I've ever had opening stuff.

This is unmarked, but I knew what it was. It is one of the first times I've ever felt really bad about an animal product.

* @impuntura Can I call this old?
Sorry, I had to take my kid to a breakfast with Santa that turned into afternoon cocktails with spoo.
But long story short, a drug dealers storage locker went into lapse and went up for auction. I got linked up with the guy who bought the locker through a friend I met at the thrifts. I bought a bunch of stuff from him in the first half of the sale as posted, the Supreme glasses and Eye Trunk which were a no brainer 2K profit. But then my guy connected me to the source and I met up with him at the storage locker last night. I bought the rest of the unit which was about 7 pairs of NIB Yeezys, 10 NIB Jordans of various vintages, 5 Off White Nikes including the Jordan 1s, Air Max 90s, Air Max 97s. 6 more pairs of deadstock Supreme x Louis Vuitton Mask sunglasses. Few other things. I sold the 7 Yeezys in about 20 minutes for more than I paid for the entire unit last night and still have the rest to go.
But the best part? The guy not only bought hype, he bought rare. Pictured below are 3 pairs of some of the rarest and most coveted ***** out right now, Tom Sachs Mars Yard 2.0, Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Don, and the Air Yeezy NRG 2. And some screenshots of the last sales on them for anyone who doesn't know about them.
