I have no ability to guess these price movements and won't try. Almost all of my LTC is house money at this point and I am not that eager to get out yet -- if I do get out, it will be at lower tax rates in 2018 (significantly lower if I convert short term capital gain to corporate by contributing my currency to a wholly owned c corp and with a few structuring tweaks to avoid traps). Anyway, what's interesting to me here is the volumes I am seeing on this sell-off -- LTC is down around 20% on something like a volume of 20% of its current market cap. I see Cardano down like 20% at about 1.5% (!) of its market cap and Dash down around the same amount at about 5% of market cap. The Cardano thing is crazy to me -- is that mostly premined and held by the founders?

The amount of strawmen in this article is unbelievable.

What's happened?

Nothing yet. Just some thoughts-

1. Good sense in general to rely on a person wallet rather than a public exchange
2. Coinbase is having some issues right now (sporadic periods where buy/sells are not allowed/transfers are not allowed) due to a weird flaw in their transfer system that has been exposed
3. Being investigated for insider trading (internally and possibly by gov)
