European versions are made in Poland or in the Netherlands, fabrics are better, the denim is softer on Levi's and the twill is lighter on Dockers, the cut is also slimmer

Years ago I wore purple cotton pants to a doctor's office. The doc commented on them, and not in a complimentary way. I haven't felt the urge to go there (I don't mean the urologist) since.

Light colored pants for summer? Sure. Intense primary colors? NO. I think they look silly when I see others wear them, so why should I?

Same here. I'd wear a pale or dusty version pretty much any of those colors, but nothing actually bright.
