Being stuck at home gave me time to clean up some old suede shoes.

Here are the Edward Green tobacco suede with medalians. Laces from Hanger Project I believe.

I did not happen to comment on this over on the WYWRN thread,
But I really like these boots.
Thank you, here’s another picture, they are available as MTO. I also ordered similar Chukkas and Tassel loafers for the summer stock in the shop! B6BD11FA-88B7-4A8B-B29A-FA9570B419B3.jpeg F1A36D1B-9863-4203-9422-5D3D65453241.jpeg

I have these suede captoes for Barneys. They’re not bad. Had more comfortable shoes for sure, but also had way way way worse. Anyway, I like them.

I’d like to hear more about the drink-induced cleaning process, if you don’t mind.

I think I have about ~30 bottles of bourbon on the wall. Not all are for drinking though. Nothing like a Thursday night where my wife and daughter are asleep and I'm sitting here thinking of what to do. I remember my 30-odd pairs of boots and shoes which have not been getting enough love since I became a father. So, I have been going through my closet doing a different shoe type every night. One night I shine boots, the other I buff cordovan, last Thursday is was "let me see if I can lighten the denim stains on those suede shoes" which turned into "well, since I'm here..."

I use the Saphir suede cleaning product which you mix with water and then brush with the provided horse hair brush. Stuff is pretty pricey so once you have a batch mixed you would hate to waste it. Not perfect, but the results are pretty good. Wait 6 hours to fully dry (the shoes and your kidneys) then brush with your suede horse hair brush. Follow up with the Saphir suede conditioner and you are done.

Here are the products used:

I haven't actually used this yet but did order it to apply after washing:
