A lot of people have good things to say about him. I have seen some of his work, and it is, by and large, nice.

Thanks....does anyone know how to get in touch with Solito? I haven't been able to find his website (if he has one). How does one find the photos that have been posted
by tiger02?

Call him up: +39 081414095, but if you want to get a suit made, you have to go to Napoli.

Thank you all for the info...it is much appreciated. Any preference between Solito and
Rubinacci? I'm planning to be in Napoli in late Sept.

From what I have seen, I prefer Rubinacci, but the price difference is substantial.

I think tiger's suit looks very nice.

Does Solito speak any English - or enough to make a suit for a non-Italian speaker?

Is the backwards-pointing shoulder seam just a stylistic quirk or does it play into the fit of a very soft shouder?

I think that he does not speak much, if any, English. IIRC, his son speaks a little.

Solito's suits tend to be a bit more "regional" looking for lack of a better term. He has a good reputation and is supposed to be very honest, but the product will be, in look and inspirit, different than Rubinacci. It just depends on who you ask whether the difference is better or worse.

Mariano (Rubinacci) is an incredibly gracious fellow. And the sportcoat he made for me is perfect (minus the sleeve length). The price is hefty, but in my opinion, if you're going to do bespoke, paying a premium for reputation is worth it.

That being said, if you want to look like some random guy walking around Naples, Solito may give you more of what you want. Everyone in Naples seems to be wearing a Solito suit. 'Regional' sounds about right when describing the look.
