I'm thinking of apprenticing for a local plumbing company and I want to eschew the traditional dickies & red wings that my uncultured co-workers seem to wear with glee.

What can I wear to separate myself from these sartorial heathens without looking too try hard?

You should buy your work wardrobe from Brooks Brothers. With the college kids and white collar professionals wearing their designer "workwear," why not?

If you do well at your trade and make $$$ you can apply to be on a show like Megan Wants a Millionaire on VH1, and be that plumber that makes 2.5m, only to be rejected and ultimately ridiculed by the hot blond chick after making a complete douche of yerself. good to have goals!

The mulah this guy makes is outrageous, his worth must have gone up tenfold since the rise in the price of gold.

I would love to be able to wear Carhartt duck overalls, a chambray shirt, and Indy boots to work every day. Or any day. I'd mix it up with some 501 STFs, Wolverine 1000 Miles, and chambray shirts in brick-red or green.
