Hi. I have a real DUMB QUESTION.

I have a pair of Log and Tung loafers (these: https://www.skoaktiebolaget.com/collections/lof-tung/products/lof-tung-xavier-mahogany-country-calf). They're great! Highly recommended.

Anyway, on the soles, there's a thin layer of paper-ish material (to cover the channel stitching on the bottom I surmise). The paper-ish material is starting to come off at the toe, which is normal after some wear I assume.

Question: What do you do when this starts to happen? Glue the paper-ish material back onto the sole? Tear it off? Or some other third thing?

This matter seems elementary, but my only experience with leather shoes is from American makers who do open channel outsole stitching.

That’s just leather that is folded back over the stitching. Tbh just keep wearing them as is, you can try gluing it back but it will just wear again.

I am, probably, the minority here, but I love L&T shoes a lot more than EB, especially ones made on the L last, they are very elegant. However there hasn't been anything new from L&T released in a while.
@ErikDg will there be any new L&T releases or GMTO offers any time soon?

I am awaiting styles. Was supposed to arrive mid September but delayed. In transit is dark brown suede chukkas on the T last. And restock of Gilbert black calf on the S last.
I have also ordered restock of Champlain, and Kingsley but no ETA on these yet.
The Bonafé GMTOs are always more popular so the reason I stopped doing L&T GMTOs is simply that they did not get funded.

And, even if we are in the middle of fall, I just restocked a lot of Veneto in Hazel Suede and Deerskin because so many asked for it.
