I'd like to hear from those who have tried both on this topic as well.

I have 2 pairs of L&T and 4 pairs of Carmina and feel they’re very very close. If I had to pick a “winner” I might say Carmina is a tiny bit ahead but not significantly so (and I find L&Ts models a bit more appealing outside of the standard ones). You definitely will not be disappointed!

When comparing two very similar shoes (Carmina pebble grain LWBs on the Detroit last vs. L&T Aldrin pebble grain wingtips, both with Dainite soles) I see absolutely no difference in quality of make. I find the L&T shape much more elegant for a heavy winter dress shoe and, if I didn't have the Carminas, would get a pair of Irwins as my winter LWBs.

The L&T is on more elegant and refined side, somewhat Carmina’s last are often lacked the “flare” that distinguish them from similar price range. Not to mention the attention to details.

Speaking of suede and shell, Zonta is nice choice and softer and more delicate. The shell would be similar per my experience - slightly dry and less shimmer.

As Carmina heading the vertical expansion side, the price pushed even higher and new competitors delivers some much better offer than them.

I prefer the L&T style, and maybe I'm just a sucker, but certain touches (like the box and bags) make me feel like the experience of purchasing a new pair of Lof & Tung shoes is superior to that of Carmina. That said, I'm in NY and there's no shoe store I like better than the Carmina store in Manhattan. The wall of shell wholecuts, the last for a doorknob...love the place.

I made up for all the missed shoes I whined about a couple of days ago. Picked up a pair of Barbaro's in Brown Utah and a pair of Flores Loafers in Fox Suede. Also have a pair of Rivera loafers in Fox suede that I"m returning tomorrow morning because they're a touch small (9.0 UK). If anyone in NYC wants them at cost feel free to shoot me a PM and save us both some hassle.
The Riveras are gorgeous shoes---let me know if anyone has a pair of Choco Riveras in a 9.5 UK that they'd part with!

Any plans to bring back the Barbaro loafer back in brown Utah calf?

Seems you have enough interest for a GMTO...

What is size in the various Carmina lasts? I've been eyeing pair of L&T loafers but I'm curious about sizing. And no I haven't emailed SkoAB yet LoL...

Just received my first order from Skoatiebolaget, pretty happy with the order. I like the way that the photo on Skoatiebolaget website is pretty accurate to the true color.
Thanks. @Leaves

Thanks for sharing.

And also thanks for all the feedback regarding Löf & Tung! My aim has always been to be a good option to any €400-500 brand and on par or above with Carmina in terms of quality. Design is so hard to judge as it's each to his own, but I'm glad to hear all the positive feedback in regards of design. The goal is to bring a lot of truly classic designs to the table. People like Justin FitzPatrick and Norman Vilalta are better at contemporary stuff. I go the classic route. But that said, there will be some "modern" stuff coming soon that I hope people will appreciate.
