1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Just an .02 from the other side of the fence - take everything RogerP said and reverse it, and that's what I'd say. No joke, our DNA for tastes-in-chukka's is 180 degrees opposite - the Carmina wins for me, hands down, for each of his reasons it's a loser.

    Not jousting - horses for courses and all that - just illustrating polite differences in opinion. In the end, it's what you like.

    Now gimme that Carmina!

    Thanks for the input on the chukka's. I am going to try out the Carlos Santos one as I have a casual chukka in that shade already and agree their version looks a little dressier than Carmina's.

    On another note, I was wondering if it would be possible to dye the Carlos Santos "Noir Shadow" patina chukka to complete black. It is listed as "dark charcoal" on Skoak's website but really want a solid black dressy chukka at a reasonable price point like this one. Here is the "Noir Shadow" patina color samples from their website:

    @Heatmiser

    It is very, very dark and most people would call it black. But it will never be a completely solid black with a crust coloured to black.

    Thanks Leaves. Do you think if I use black shoe polish I could get it to look a consistent color or would it always have that patina look?

    There are probably a few other pairs at the gaziano factory, awaiting completion of the whole batch. Lol.

    Maybe in this specific color. But the first batch of Kudu offered about two years ago (I think it was) included an Isham Kudu GMTO. But still I would imagine the chance of showing up or seeing another pair of Kudu Ishams somewhere are far slimmer than a lot of other shoes. Unless we are talking Ram Thorpes. LOL

    ^^^ I am equal parts relieved and bitterly disappointed that those are not my size. KILLER deal on an AWESOME pair of boots for someone who is a UK 10.5.
