Hi All - Was thinking of getting a pair of C&J penny loafers but I am not sure which sole to pick. It comes with a double leather sole but I can choose a single leather sole as well. What would you recommend?

Double leather sole will be more durable but also less flexible and harder to break in. Personally I have some heel slip in loafers (even those that are sized correctly for me) until the soles break in and become a little more flexible. Double soles will prolong this process. Plus I wear loafers more in warmer weather, so the single leather sole for some reason just feels more casual and summer-appropriate to me. Long winded way to say that I would go with the single leather sole, but just an opinion. If you like the look of the thicker sole, go with that.
