I had last season's and went with my usual small. It is cut very large through the body, flaring out from the chest downward. The sleeves are sized true. The shoulders are raglan so there's some wiggle room there. Plenty of room to layer. I have since sold that coat and sized down. It fits more like a "normal" coat but still with that nice flare. The sleeves are a bit too short. It doesn't bother me personally but I think most people would not be happy with the sleeves in a size down.
Just want to add I didn't size down because of the fit. I liked how it fit when I went with my usual size too. There just happened to be the version I had really wanted in a size down that popped up on yahoo Japan auctions.
All that being said I think true to size is the way to go for most people. You just have to embrace the shape (or look elsewhere). If you have short arms like me a size down could work.
Hey folks,
Was wondering if anyone could speak to their experiences with the EG reversible coat? Currently lusting over the navy ripstop cotton/nylon model from the current season..the jacquard pattern is so amazingly subtle as well. How did you size on it? Looking to make the purchase after Christmas. Thanks!
