It's a pretty simple question based on whether you want lined or unlined - they are two very different coats. It's hot and humid during rainy season here, so the SEH Kelly wouldn't work. If I lived somewhere cold and rainy, it would be better.

Bingo. S.E.H Kelly makes incredibly well-crafted clothing with high quality materials, but it's crucial to note that most of their outerwear is geared towards a temperate climate.

Thanks for the input, guys. I've decided to give the Private White one a go. Main factor was the fact that it's unlined, and also that the SEH Kelly was not available in navy.

In any case this has made me discover SEH Kelly and I really like what I've seen, I'll definitely end up buying from them in the future.

Good choice! Welcome to the Ventile Crew!!
I'm really impressed - love the feel of the cotton with the waterproofness and it breathes really well. I wish someone made a cool ballcap in ventile, only one I can find has a big 'X' on it. Does anyone know that Larose Paris dude?? Please tell him!

Black derbies, once again: Church's Shannon. These fit wide feet and have the best overall shape, but I've read the quality is so-so and the leather they use looks like plastic and is too shiny: Alden chromexcel bluchers. I kept staring at these but just don't like the narrow toe: Yoox roulette Anns, no details, just these two pictures: Heschung Crocus. Good shape, slightly too pointed. Don't really mind the contrast stitching. But the quarters? look a little too close together: Tricker's Woodstock. Shape from top is fine, though the heel looks kinda heavy from the side. There's another piece of leather and stitching at the heel so doesn't look as clean. Also can't find any on sale and would be the most expensive:
JC Cole (looks like TheShoeMart's in-house brand) has a plain toe blucher. Looks a lot like Alden's:

Is that a serious question? Wait, show pics of the burgundy first. That may be the only possible dealbreaker.

They are indeed different prices. If I bought one, I probably wouldn't also buy the other...priorities and all that.
