Stevent I was considering Allen Edmonds before and will probably just get a pair of them. Any recommendations for a specific model besides strand or park avenue? When is the 2nds sale? Is it just emailing shoemart at AE?

And KJ I think you may only be able to get away with SW&D footwear with a casual linen or cotton suit at a very casual event. It won't work with a wool suit.

Not sure about AE as I haven't had a pair in a while but the two you mention are fine just search M/C. At the 200 range you have Meermin or Loake or http://www.herringshoes.co.uk/product-list.php?brandid=6 but sizing is an issue. AE is easiest to size and as cyc said better to try on first. I would go with dark brown as that is more wearable in standard dressy situations outside. I haven't worn my one pair of black wholecuts in at least a year. Black might work better for your wardrobe though

Predistressed I know, but I think raw denim is just not for me. I've tried APC, Naked & Famous and 3Sixteen I find I them to be a bit too stiff and I can never get good fades...
