leather jackets are investment pieces. blue leather jackets less so.

wish there was a pocket or something on the front of it.

A leather jacket is most definitely an investment piece. A blue leather jacket, not so much. Related note, there is a really nice Julius fencing on Yoox in III and IV (I usually only see Julius on the boards in I or II)

read 3sixteens return policy. i would vote against simply for the reason that you can't return it.

also i ordered the levi/filson which i ended returning since the shoulders were not quite wide enough for me to move comfortably even after sizing up (i have fairly wide shoulders) and I must say its pretty sweet.
It is really solid as in stiff and thick, which might be too much for some. It will last forever and the color should develop and gain some character. The vertical lines and pocket configurations look great, simply yet cool. I would be rocking this thing happily if the shoulders were a tad wider

Out of the box the darker pair look better but I think with a bit of love and attention the lighter pair will age better. Personally I like the look of these:

How about these suede shoes by Sanders?

I've been looking for a pair for a long time. Plain suede bucks are too boring, and I think balmoral lacing is too formal (at least for my first pair of suede).

The price is right ($~225), but I'm wondering whether a similar pair from Alden are worth nearly 2x as much. The pair of Sanders below has a crepe sole, but Sanders are goodyear welted and can be re-soled, right?
