I'm looking for an overcoat I can wear over a suit, and I've had my eye on J. Crew's Mayfairs for a while...

1. First of all, do you think this is a good style of such a coat?

2. I've been trying to research the value of Thinsulate, and without too much success; is Thinsulate worth the extra weight of the coat?

3. I'm 5'6" and about 125 lbs and a size 30 waist; do you guys have any sizing guesses/suggestions?

Thanks!

Still unsure whether or not to keep the SNS beanie.
It has a seam going the whole way around it leading to weird wrinkles.

You can see it from the side (the bumpiness is caused by the seam)

Looks ok from front though.

Kinda want a beanie with a fit more like this:

Keep or sell the SNS?

Woke up this morning and need Margiela side-zips BAD. I'm a 45 in CP Achilles, 11 Cons (w/ insert), 10.5 Paul Smith. Will 45 work for me? I know this is technically a "small question," but don't venture out into the morass. Thanks.

^ Just answered you in the RFTs thread, but my recommendation is to go for them if they're returnable. I wear a 44 in both CPs and MMM side-zips, but I also wear 11.5 in chucks, so YMMV.
