here is a link about my upcoming shoemaking course in New York. I also plan to make some "open hours" to styleforum member - to give a possibility to watch how the real handmade shoe is made with the traditional methods. Most probably that will be in the second week - ALL of you are invited! http://rosenbaumsny.com/course.html R.S.V.P.

Oh man! If that was over a weekend or two, I would definitely join.

I have a general shoemaking Q if I may - how difficult is it to disassemble a shoe, particularly an upper?

Would you consider weekend classes?

So at the end of this course I will have a pair of shoes that I made?

don't know if you noticed, but shoebox making is not one of the topics.

This is why I asked, a pair of shoes? As in one for the group or one each?

Yes, you make a pair of shoes - for yourself.

No information about the weekend class yet, but if we have enough interest - why not?

Just to be clear, if you could accomodate a weekend class for beginners (I assume it would be over both weekends?), I would sign up for sure.

That would be extremely tempting.
