Wanted to post my humble abode. I'm in a high rise building downtown Miami. Need some general advice for the space above my bed. Want to take my time and find something that is genuine (Yes, I'm asian, btw.)

I would put a chandelier there to kick it up a notch. Looks a bit plain and that would ass some character.

I'd do both out of personal preference. And repaint the wall to a very light grey (if you must have something not white) - it'll make the small room feel bigger.

I don't mind the dark red there. It makes it the focal point. I would lighten it up with a lighter headboard. Also, get as much clutter out of the room (side of the bed) all you need on a night stand is a lamp and a book (even if you don't read).

I just painted it red! The room gets tons and tons of light so it gets blindingly light without some color.

Which night stand? I won't remove my family portrait, thats a bit too much style over substance.

Family portrait is solid there. I would put baskets (walmart has some cloth ones for cheap) that can slide in the night stand and finish it off. So that it isn't just a hole there with clutter.

I edited the picture to a larger one. I have two bamboo/weave baskets in the bottoms of each night stand. I think I should put two on the more visible nightstand.

I had too much caffine and too late in the day so I decided to take some input from here, especially from the photos posted, and move a few things around. The main things were the swap of the small table from the computer area for the bookcase in the TV area, and the removal of the couch for the gravity chair for my wife which turns out doesn't want to use and instead grabbed the old couch seats and just threw them on the floor instead. I tried to make it a bit less clutter, more clean and organized, but also try to free up some space.
