1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Gdot, you're a FAIR WEATHER FRIEND if ever there was one! Actually, I don't hate DMs on others, just on me.

I agree with your advice on upgrading from AE. I think quality in shoes matters more than quantity, because in reality we all gravitate to a half dozen or so favorite shoes anyway. Sadly, I wish the folks in the UK would do MTM in my size of 13E. Occasionally, I've found some 13Ds that work, but those are pretty rare.

I was with you on that until this fall. Looking for something to replace my warn out casual shoes that I use around my neighborhood for hitting the bars and walking the dogs. I came across the cigar cordovan Indy boots and they actually perfectly fit the bill. Not a dressy boot but perfect for fall and winter in Philly.

Ok Fred.....since you put it that way.....you can have your friend chip back. Although we may have to discuss the possibility of foot reduction surgury for you before I can be seen with you in public.

I also wanted to let slip that on occasions when I summon up the courage to browse the WAYWYWNWN thread, I have to put many regular posters on ignore because the pictures are so aesthetically unpleasant ... [IMG]

I like to think of it as my personally curated version of that thread

I have always thought, boots with suits, higher than 1 inch cuffs on pants and loud pocket squares look a little too premeditated.

I have never really cared for Italian-styled squared-off shoes a la Vass U-last, or 3 button suits (including 3roll2) but I can see how they can look good on some people.
