Do people buy/sell/swap fragrances here? Or where are good places to do such things?
Apparently I have some valuable fragrances (discontinued) that I’m not sure where to list…
Today I tried New York Intense. I thought it was going to be a fougere type fragrance, a masculine floral. Instead it’s bitter and green, similar to Yatagan - which I LOVE. But I’m not sure I need two things so similar.
Other random question: is anyone aware of a site that allows you to assemble a custom sampler pack? There are a bunch of different scents (5-6) I want to try/buy as samplers rather than the full bottle, but I can't seem to find a site that does anything like that.
Perfumed Court, Decant X, Fragrances Line… lots of sites offer decants/samples.Other random question: is anyone aware of a site that allows you to assemble a custom sampler pack? I first tried it about 5 years ago and it was way too powdery for me. Just came across a sample vial I've had since then and I sprayed it the other day. It definitely has lost some intensity and the powderiness has calmed down. Still, there are other vintage masculines that are higher on my list, such as Armani's Eau Pour Homme (Cosmair distribution).
They're not bad. Good fragrances at reasonable prices. Worth checking out, though in Paris you'll have LOTS of options. When traveling there, I try to focus Parisian exclusives, stuff I can't get in the US, or the perfumes that are priced more reasonably in Europe than here in the States.Anyone have any experience with Fragonard Paris? Will be in Paris in February so thought it might be something to check out.
I have Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, and Millesime Imperial.Today: Creed Royal Oud.
I’ve been dipping my toe into Creed. I’ve found that like with most houses, there are at most one or two I like enough to buy, with the others being variations that I don’t like as much.
For Creed, those two are Royal Oud and Green Irish Tweed. Though I’d like to try Erolfa at some point.
I think part of it is that most houses have one or two signatures at the base that they seem to use for the majority of their fragrances. So there’s no point in getting them all.I have Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, and Millesime Imperial.
I barely wear the first two, not really sure why maybe burnout, but I reach for the third quite a bit.
I love oud- but this one just didn't work for me.Today: Creed Royal Oud.

I also own Aventus and also never wear it. It just smells like early 2010s to me - everyone had it - I think it's purely exhaustion.I have Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, and Millesime Imperial.
