I am completely ignorant of all things tech, but I saw someone with a satellite internet adapter to their laptop the other day, that apparently gives them a connection even deep in the woods. I'm going to be going on a road trip and I thought that would be really useful (find campsites, restaurants, etc). Anyone know how to get a temporary connection like that?

This is well worth the expense if you travel a lot. I've had it on my laptops for years and it's been great for both domestic and international travel. It's also handy for daily use where wifi or other connections aren't available.

If you remain within cellular range, you can just get an internet stick. About 1/100th the price.

What's that? Is there like universal wireless to cellphones outside the cities now?
