But they do have exact same design. Angle of zippers, zipper placement etc.

With Saint Laurent itself actively ******* with the L01/L17 design, it’s hard to get too worked up over some brand producing a low cost version of the classic designs. I have my doubts regarding the “unrivaled quality” they claim to offer for $400, but in no way is it like wearing a fake Rolex. Hell, I’d take one of those over one of these any day, regardless of quality:

Luckily, I can ignore them all and just stick with my SS16 L17.

The LAC copies are ok I guess but all I see are terrible terrible distracting epaulets. I also personally don't support carbon copies on a fundamental level. You can't claim clothing design as intellectual property (although I've seen some design elements being patented on Shark Tank recently?) and this just reminds me of the time Guston did a carbon copy of the CP achilles minus the gold stamp and marketed them as their "original tennis sneaker". A lot of people are gona be butthurt but there's not much that can be done about it. If slp keeps trashing their own designs I don't blame people for seeking out cheaper, cleaner product, even if it's a blatant rip off.
