Since getting into this whole raw denim thing, I've always wondered whether anyone has started studying Japanese solely for the purpose of more easily being able to research, purchase, etc., Japanese jeans.

good question... do we have any extreme jeans-otaku? I know knowing Japanese has helped me navigate the various online sites in Japan like Beams...

But for me, what's interesting is that everyone's Japanese is better than mine, and I have lived here for a decade!

Haha Alter.... I'm sure you understand Japanese better than we do. You are around it all the time. I did not start learning Japanese for easier internet navigation. I love languages in general. I'm an Anthropology major and although it is beneficial to study them in case i can do field work in those areas, I chose Japanese simply because it sounded "cool", believe it or not.
