I want to get some nice black shoes that I can wear with jeans, dockers, etc. Can anyone recommend a pair for under $200?

Thanks.

You're going to get a lot of advice to step up your game a bit, and consider other colors.

Considering a brown shoe of some sort with jeans and Dockers would be wise.

If you're looking for brand advice, try checking out some of the alternatives Allen Edmonds makes. They do go on sale pretty aggressively on occasion, particularly if you're willing to call the Shoe Bank in Wisconsin for seconds.

Really, if you're going to stay below Allen Edmonds level price, but still want quality shoes, you're in a rough spot. The money you spend beyond the $50 made-in-China glued-on-soles shoes at Marshalls or whatever is going to be kind of a waste in some ways if you don't get at least a decent solid pair of shoes. AE is probably the cheapest way for you to do that. Just my opinion but everyone has to start somewhere.
