i generally like the shirt inside the jacket. i think it looks feminine when the jacket is too short.

its the one thing that annoys me about my summer moncler jacket. i only like to wear it with short shirts that don't stick out the bottom

Agreed. With the kinda look you're going for i think the shirt should be a bit longer. If you're going for a more classic leather jacket look like what i think sq4you is talking about i agree about keeping the shirt a bit short. I think with your whole julius dark gothy military thing i'd like it better shirt longer

Yeah, I generally agree. When I wear those shorter Lad tees with simple skinny jeans it tends to look better than when I wear them with more military looking pants which add width to my lower half (due to the pockets). So I guess I have some more experimenting to do with proportions. Thanks everyone for the comments. I noticed nobody seems to hate the boots + shorts combo though, which I was worried about. I actually bought those shorts specifically so I'd have something cooler to wear during the summer with my boots. The whole outfit is really an experiment for me that I figured would take some time and effort to perfect.

BB1, i think it looks good with the shirt as is but can also look good the other way. I don't see why you would only wear the jacket with longer shirts. The shorter/more natural length shirt you're wearing is a bit more classic and won't seem as "out there" as a real long one.

would it make you feel better if I said I hate the boots and shorts combo? Just not really a fan of those shorts from the beginning and don't think they worked out like those other pants did.

But whenever I put on a tight leather jacket, those Lad t-shirts tend to get pushed up several inches higher due to the large neck opening on the shirt-- really annoying! That is why I think you're seeing a difference.

What do you guys think? Should one's shirt stick out from underneath a leather jacket due to the shirt's longer length, or it better to have the shirt fit inside the jacket? I continually find myself going either way on this depending on the shirt style, color, and fabric type.

I'm not that big on having a lot of layers but I do like having shirts or sweaters peak under a leather jacket. Personal preference really as it works fine the way you're wearing it now.
