These came in the mail today. Not my first choice for a cap toe but I'm really happy with them.

Donuts - what you planning on wearing with that shirt. Asking 'cos I have a near-identical one and it's damn difficult to think of pairings for it beyond using it with cream/pale trousers and suits (or jacket-less) for summer or funky evening out fits with navy suits the rest of the year.

Needed to get a new pair of beige chinos as my old pair shrank too much over time and are now just too short. Ended up going for a cotton/linen blend this time. Also, couldn't resist a great white linen s/s shirt (with a rare for LP slim-cut body) and a pair of navy lightly-brushed cotton trousers. The navy trousers are non-SF approved, I'm sure, but I think I'll end up wearing them quite a bit and the fabric should cope well in both shoulder seasons in the UK. As I'm not one for jeans very much, having a pair of navy trousers makes some sense.

no sir! just a small ADP box-- or possibly a shifty attempt at covering up a size 4 Lobb shoebox (from the prestige line, tho) :)
upon returning from today's lake como trip, suit bag waiting for me at the hotel from Al Bazar! silk and wool, with added hand-stitched sleeve buttonholes; i really like the lapels and shoulders (YES, I bought two of lino's lucky seven ties.....one as a gift)
can't say enough good things about that store, what a great experience. a must visit for milan.
G. Lorenzi was open this morning, too, but too tired to take and post more pix, must sleep.

thank you! it's pretty bold for my conservative tastes, so that's good to hear. I wore it my last day in milan, with a new favorite tie (khaki solid color cashmere by AD56, another small but perfect store in milan), denim, and shirt from Al Bazar. this is by far the most fitted DB I've worn to date, and really dig the shoulders on this one.

whats the material on it? did you have it made or OTR?

It fits amazing and everything looks great (color, fit, styling).

I've had these Lubbocks a while now and continue to get compliments with people that have already seen them and from complete strangers. A wonderful casual rough pair of shoes!!

AE nailed this one!
