Did beards among young people get universally more popular or have I just been paying too much attention to stupid lookbooks and Tumblrs? For years the only guys with beards were aloof middle-aged dads and people who wanted to look like Rutherford B. Hayes.

I thought this happened a few years ago. I would almost expect it to be at the backlash phase at this point. Or maybe it's at saturation, which precedes backlash.

I'd grow a beard if I could.

edit: And +1 to needing a Uniqlo proxy. Although it would probably make more sense for me to stop being so lazy and just take a trip up to New York.

I tend to have facial hair quite often, mostly because shaving ******* blows. I assume other dudes feel the same way. As workplaces have gotten more casual, I think everyone is saying "screw it; 10 more minutes of sleep!"

Someone recommend some new Tumblrs to follow. My feed right now is almost nothing but Hill-Side lookbook shots.

I have a beard for exactly this reason.

Saying it's because you don't like shaving is a little different, since I think the other poster was talking about actual beards, which are starting to reach critical mass.

I'm with you though on shaving people awful though. I don't think I've been clean shaven, with the exception of one job interview, since I broke up with my highschool girlfriend sometime senior year. I just buzz it down when it gets a little length to it and that's it, but I wouldn't consider this a beard.

Shaving was the worst.

I won't be entering this any time soon, but I do have an actual beard rather than just scruff. If I go a week without cleaning it up you can hardly tell the difference, whereas going a few days without shaving (back when I was clean-shaven) made a very obvious difference. And I hated shaving all the time so I just let it grown in. I think I look better with it anyway.

whoever owns BoO must be making ******* bank. I'm all for paying more for quality, but I have a hard time believing that they are not making an obscene profit off some of their pieces.

Is BoO still popular ? The hype seems to have died down over the last year, what with all the other slim fitting shirts alternatives etc
