Didn't those come out 2-3 seasons ago

Yes, but they made very few, acquiring 'heat'. Now they are available and in demand, but shortly, will be 'over'.

@ APK, agreed, that's a nice deal on your blazer, but I must enter sales-only mode. :embar:

Schneider is another of those objects of forum hype I don't always get. Some of its really good, some not so much (and that includes the materials). Some of the cardis people lust over are nice but not really exceptional to me. I dunno, don't always get it.

Totokaelo's men store is now open (TotokaeloMAN) and I stopped by earlier today. They did a great job on the minimalist interior design, and it's thankfully much less cluttered compared to the women's floor upstairs. The selection is a mixed bag though, or at least for me, but MMM, Henry Vibskov, Yohji Yamamoto, Robert Geller, and Saturday NYC seemed like the stronger buys compared to the rest. For shoes they have a limited selection of Common Projects, Grenson, and some surprisingly nice ones from Acne. It beats the hell out of Blackbird for sure, and is up on the same level as Jack Straw (obviously with different focuses by the owners).

Some picture of the interior are on their instagram: http://instagram.com/totokaelo/ they unfortunately do not have a picture of the coolest part where there is the small skylit garden and glass walls when you first enter downstairs.

SF hype is the ******* worst.

The appeal of the brand is easy to understand though

- Overall output quality superior to most of the other labels at the same price point
- In house fabrics w/ the typical subtle colors, patterns, knitwork...
- Smallish operation, artisanal kinda vibe + insider's brand kinda vibe
- Not too fashion forward, can work with a lot of styles
- Comfy but elegant kinda vibe
- (Made in) Belgium cred

Doesn't mean that there aren't some duds here and there, as with everything you just need to exercise some judgement and not buy blindly into the hype.

I agree with this actually. I was just irritated by Urthwhyte's post because it seemed to be like "I bought two random pieces at 75% off, not happy, brand must suck" which is pretty foolish

Just out of curiosity, is there any length difference betweenL and XL ervell knits? or is that a brand I should just cross off the list?
